The Odikro of Yokomansa, Nana Baffour Ampaw III, has decried the failure of the Akyiase Police Station to act on a series of violent attacks orchestrated by a group of individuals led by the Mmrantehene, Maxwell.

Despite formal complaints and medical reports detailing injuries inflicted on palace members, the police have reportedly failed to arrest the perpetrators, raising concerns about impunity and lawlessness.

Speaking to Ahotor 92.3fm, Nana Ampaw III, who has been gazetted as Odikro, expressed deep frustration over the police’s alleged bias and negligence.

He revealed that the attackers not only destroyed property but also locked the palace, demanding the queen mother and the Abusuapanin vacate premises he personally built.

The leader of the group, Maxwell is said to have fired warning shots and inflicted severe cutlass injuries, openly claiming immunity from arrest.

This escalating violence has created a climate of fear and insecurity within the town and its leadership.
