Pastor Mensa Otabil, the founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), has sparked significant debate with his assertion that “God is not revealing mysteries to anybody anymore,” indicating that divine revelations have come to an end.
In a widely shared video, he emphasized that God’s revelation is closed, stressing that He is not providing new insights or guidance.
His remarks come at a time when many conflicting prophecies about Ghana’s upcoming elections have emerged, casting doubt on their legitimacy.
Pastor Otabil suggests that these claims may stem from personal interpretations rather than genuine divine inspiration. In a prior video, he expressed concern over the actions of certain pastors in Ghana, which he believes are tarnishing the image of the clergy.
During a sermon at Desert Pastures in Bolgatanga, home of Rev. Eastwood Anaba, he addressed the growing public skepticism toward church leaders due to irresponsible conduct and controversial remarks made by some men of God.
He also highlighted the lack of regulatory frameworks within the religious sector, which enables individuals to assume prestigious titles such as “prophet” or “bishop” without sufficient oversight.
