Renowned Nigerian actor Richard Mofe Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has called on Ghanaians to support former President John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming 2024 presidential election, expressing his belief that Mahama deserves another chance.
In an interview with JoyNews, shared on X on November 25, 2024, RMD highlighted Mahama’s significant achievements during his previous time in office, urging voters not to overlook his progress for the country. “They shouldn’t fall for the mistake other Africans want them to make.
Ghanaians should choose the best candidate, one who truly has their interests at heart. Not everyone running for this position is genuinely committed to the well-being of the people,” he stated.
RMD also shared that Mahama is his preferred candidate for the December 7 elections. “I have a favourite, and I believe he will be the choice of Ghanaians. My favourite
is Mahama because I admire him.
While I haven’t met him personally, every time I go through the airport, I remember he was the one who built it. I have many Ghanaian friends who have spoken highly of his accomplishments as president,” he added.
