The Black Queens have known their group opponents in the Women’s 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament, which will take place in Morocco 2025.
The draw gala which took place on Friday night in Morocco saw Ghana paired with current Title holders South Africa, Tanzania, and Mali in the group in Group C.
Having missed the last edition of the tournament in 2022, the Black Queens earned a return to the WAFCON with an impressive qualifying campaign under Swiss manager Nora Hauptle.
She annihilated Rwanda 12-0 over two legs against Rwanda and lost 1-0 away to Namibia haven’t won the home fixture 3-1 in the qualifiers.
The Black Queens failed to qualify for the 2023 Women’s World Cup and 2024 Olympic Games and will be seeking redemption at the women’s AFCON, aiming to claim their maiden title after emerging as runners-up three times in 1998, 2002, and 2006.
This will be the 13th edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and will kick off July 5 to July 26, 2025.
