The ongoing 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League Season is gradually gaining momentum, having seen several intriguing actions from the opening eleven games across all league centres.
Twenty-four-time Champions Accra Hearts of Oak will open the weekend’s showdown with a home game against last season’s fourth-placed Nsoatreman FC who are winless in their last four outings drawing two in the process. Hearts are on a three-game winning streak having scored four goals and bagging all twelve points and aim to extend the newly found form when they engage the visitors on Saturday night at the Legon Stadium.
Talk of town Nations FC will hope to ride on their 2-0 victory away to Asante Kotoko last weekend as they welcome struggling Brekum Chelsea to Dr Kwame Kyei’s stadium on Sunday. Kasim Mingle’s side who have gone four straight games unbeaten without a draw, scoring nine goals in all are eying to maintain the top spot. Chelsea have lost their last two away games and have failed to pick a single win in their last four previous games with one turning out to be a drawn game against newbies Holy Stars.
Medeama SC returned to winning ways last weekend after beating Bibiani Goldstars 2-0 at the TnA stadium and trek away this time round to Wenchi to face newcomers Young Apostles who lost just one home this season- came against Hearts of Oak.
All attention on Sunday afternoon will be at the Nana Agyemang Badu park as Aduana Stars play host to wounded Kumasi Asante Kotoko who have lost all their last four games dashing out all 12 points to opponents. Under pressure coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has the daunting task of producing a pause in the losing streak at a venue he lost 2-1 last season.
Dreams FC have picked up two wins in a row having gone the previous nine games winless and the Paa Fabian side hopes to maintain form as they face a relegation-threatened side Karela United.
Elsewhere at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Bechem United will continue their impressive home run as they battle it out with statistically weak side Accra Lions who are 18th on the table.
