Hon. Daniel Kwaku Botwe has called on New Patriotic Party (NPP) polling station Chairpersons and coordinators to remain steadfast and committed to their duties as the party prepares for the crucial elections ahead.
Speaking during a visit to the Ayensuano Constituency, Hon. Botwe, a former Minister for Local Government and Rural Development and the NPP Campaign Chairman for the 2024 general elections, urged the party executives to avoid complacency and maintain a laser focus on ensuring victory in the 2024 general elections.
He emphasized the need for “raw commitment” to the task at hand, urging them to rise above any negative attitudes or apathy that could hinder the party’s chances.
Addressing polling station chairpersons and coordinators during an engagement session, Hon. Botwe highlighted the importance of their roles, reminding them of their mandate as frontline mobilizers for the party.
He divided the constituency into three zones such as Anum Apapam, Coalter and Asuboi zone and engaged the executives and polling station chairpersons in one-on-one interactions to re-energize them for the task ahead.
“NPP is the only political party with the wisdom and policies that bring meaningful development and impact the lives of Ghanaians.”
“We cannot let apathy or any negativity derail the progress we have made. Let us focus and work together until victory is secured”, Dan Botwe who is also the outgoing Member of Parliament for Okere Constituency said.
Hon. Botwe also expressed optimism about the party’s chances of reclaiming parliamentary seats lost to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 elections, attributing those losses to apathy within the party.
He assured the audience of efforts to not only reclaim those seats but also secure additional NDC-held constituencies in the Eastern Region.
The Constituency Secretary for Ayensuano, Hon. Ernest Akuffo, commended Hon. Botwe for the engagement.
He noted that the interaction had reinvigorated the spirits of the party’s grassroots leadership and provided renewed hope and inspiration to push for victory.
