Eastern Region is Ready for Change, Ready to Elect John Mahama – Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo

Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the immediate past National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), expressed strong optimism about the Eastern Region’s support for the NDC in the upcoming elections.

With unwavering confidence, he predicted a major shift, stating that the region would vote decisively in favor of the NDC.

Addressing a large gathering at Akroso in the Assin Manso Akroso District, Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo was encouraged by the enthusiastic crowds turning out to support the NDC flagbearer, John Mahama.

He interpreted these large gatherings as a clear sign of the people’s trust in John Mahama’s vision to restore and revitalize the nation.

“The Eastern Region is ready for a change and ready to usher in H.E John Mahama as president,” he said. “They believe in John Mahama’s ability to steer Ghana towards a prosperous future.”

Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo confidently noted that every indicator points toward an NDC victory in the Eastern Region.

He stressed that the NDC’s priorities under a new administration would include a significant focus on youth employment, which he views as essential to stimulating economic growth and securing the region’s future.

He did not hold back in his criticism of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), accusing them of neglecting the Eastern Region’s development.

“The NPP has failed to deliver meaningful progress here,” he said. “But a new NDC government will resume from where we left off in 2016, continuing and expanding our developmental projects in this region and beyond.”

Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo concluded by commending the NDC’s 24-Hour Economy Policy proposal, describing it as a visionary initiative that has the potential to transform Ghana’s economic landscape.

He called it a “game changer” that would drive economic growth, boost job creation, and ensure a more prosperous future for all Ghanaians.
