Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu says the absence of key players is blessing in disguise for substitutes.
In an interview on Ahotor “Agor)kansie” the Under-20 World Cup winner admitted he had wished Otto Addo had full squad for upcoming clash against Angola and Niger yet he believes substitutes must seize this opportunity by offering competition.
“Every coach in this situation would have wished he had his full weapons but once again substitutes have the opportunity to show what they can do. I will advise the substitutes to offer competition in these moments”
The Black Stars suffered a set back following the withdrawal of eight players from Coach Otto Addo’s initial call up. The likes of Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Joseph Paintsill etc have been ruled out due to injuries and personal problems.
Ghana are up against Angola and Niger on15th and 18th of November respectively. They will have to win the remaining two matches and hope Sudan lose their last two games.
