John Dramani Mahama, the Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has pledged to establish a university in Ghana’s newly created Western North Region, highlighting the urgent need for educational and infrastructural development in the area.
Speaking to residents in Dadieso, Suaman District, during his Western Regional tour, John Mahama emphasized that a university in the Western North would not only provide access to higher education but also foster economic growth and opportunity within the region.
He assured the crowd that, under a new NDC administration, the district would receive its fair share of development.
Beyond the university, Mr. Mahama outlined a broader vision for the region, stressing that essential facilities like a regional hospital, better roads, and expanded infrastructure are fundamental to the identity and progress of any region.
He promised that the NDC would prioritize these projects if elected, ensuring the Western North has the resources it needs to thrive.
John Mahama urged Ghanaians to vote for the NDC on December 7th to bring about positive change, distancing the country from what he described as the mismanagement of the current government.
He encouraged voters not to be swayed by last-minute incentives or handouts, urging them to consider the challenges they’ve faced over the past eight years.
John Mahama’s message was clear: “Accept the goodies if they come, but remember your worth and the brighter future we can build together.”
