Ghanaian musician Fameye has recently expressed his strong anticipation regarding the upcoming nominations for the prestigious TGMA (Talent Ghana Music Awards), particularly for the coveted Artist of the Year category.
In a detailed interview, Fameye articulated his thoughts on the matter, revealing a shift in his perspective compared to previous years. He noted that in the past, he wasn’t particularly invested in the Artist of the Year category, often feeling that he wasn’t quite ready to compete for such an esteemed recognition.
“Normally when people brought up the topic of the Artist of the Year category in the past, I would brush it off, believing I hadn’t yet reached that stage in my career,” he shared candidly.
However, Fameye’s attitude has evolved over time, largely attributed to his relentless hard work and the dedication he has poured into his craft.
He now feels a strong sense of confidence about his potential nomination and a genuine belief that he truly deserves the recognition that comes with it. Fameye emphasized that his journey in the music industry has been marked by significant growth and perseverance, stating, “With everything I’ve invested into my music, this time around, I am more than ready.”
He is optimistic about his chances of not only receiving a nomination but also winning the coveted title of Artist of the Year at the next TGMA.
“I believe I deserve to be nominated and perhaps go ahead to win it,” he asserted, highlighting his unwavering commitment to his art and the impact he hopes to have on the Ghanaian music scene.
As the anticipation builds for the nominations, Fameye remains hopeful and determined, ready to embrace whatever comes next in his career.
