John Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was among the first to arrive at the 2024 National Peace Campaign launch, held at the forecourt of the State House.
The event gathered high-profile dignitaries, including President Nana Akufo-Addo, Inspector General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, Chief of Defense Staff, Chief Justice, and Electoral Commission Chair Jean Mensa, all coming together to pledge their support for peaceful elections.
The National Peace Campaign launch is organized by the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, the Christian Council of Ghana, and the Office of the Chief Imam, bringing together key stakeholders and leaders from diverse backgrounds.
Their collective goal is to promote peace, stability, and unity as Ghana approaches the election season.
John Mahama, accompanied by the former National Chairman of the NDC Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo was the first presidential candidate to arrive, is set to continue his campaign with a two-day tour of the Oti Region after the peace launch.
During his #Mahama4Change2024 tour, he will address local chiefs and residents, sharing his vision for the future and his plans to bring change to the nation.
John Mahama hopes to strengthen his support base in the region and encourage residents to vote for him in the upcoming election.
