The Executive Director of Good Governance Advocacy Group Ghana, Listowel Nana Poko, has criticized the Vice President and the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), stating that their conduct has become a joke, undermining the credibility of the second-highest office in the country.
According to Poko, since 2016, the Vice President and the NPP have employed a strategy of deception and spin, leading Ghana into economic hardships and governance challenges.
Speaking on the Adekye Mu Nsem morning show on Ahotor FM, hosted by Citizen Kofi Owusu in Accra, Poko emphasized the lack of respect shown by the NPP leadership towards Ghanaians, particularly in addressing national issues. He questioned Dr. Bawumia’s suitability for leadership, suggesting that some assembly members may be more competent.
Poko also criticized Dr. Bawumia’s handling of the student-related political platform, particularly the issue of nurses’ trainee allowances. He described the Vice President’s approach as bizarre and disconnected from the reality of student allowances.
