National Chairman of the Peoples’ National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah, has reiterated the position of the Inter- Party Resistance Against Compilation of a New Voter Register, to call for the abandonment of the compilation of a new voter register.
According to the Chairman, the fact that the Minister for Health, Kwaku Agyemang Manu has tested positive for the Virus is evidence that observing all the safety protocols does not guarantee the safety and security of Ghanaians.
In a statement signed by Bernard Mornah is therefore calling on the Electoral Commissioner to rethink its decision to compile a new voters register for the 2020 elections.
‘’With his position, he followed religiously the safety protocols of hand washing with soap under running water, regular use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer, wearing of a nose mask and observation of social distancing. All these notwithstanding, Hon Kwaku Agyemang Manu still contracted the disease,” portions of the statement read.
