2025 CAF U-20 AFCON: Sulemana Wins Man of the Match in Thrilling Draw

Ghana midfielder Abdul Sulemana was named Man of the Match in the Black Satellites’ 1-1 draw against DR Congo in their opening Group C match at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt

DR Congo took the lead through Samuel Ntanda in the 16th minute, but Ghana equalized just eight minutes later through Aziz Musibau, set up by Emmanuel Mensah. Despite both teams creating chances, neither could find a winner in the second half.

Sulemana impressed with his energy and forward runs, standing out among his teammates despite some decision-making errors. His performance earned him the Man of the Match award.

Ghana’s next match is against Senegal, while DR Congo faces the Central African Republic.

The Black Satellites will look to build on their performance and secure a strong result in their next outing.
