2025 AFCON QUALIFIER: BLACK STARS TO HOLD FIRST TRAINING AT THE ACCRA SPORTS STADIUM ON MONDAY
The Black Stars will commence training on Monday 7th October, 2024 at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of their first leg African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.
Otto Addo will announce Ghana’s squad today. Due to how important the match is, the Black Stars are expected to have a full house on their first day of training.
In recent months, the Accra Sports Stadium was closed to make way for renovation works. Having received a facelift, the Stadium is now in top shape to host a category C match following CAF’S (Confederation of African Football) approval.
It has been almost three years since the Black Stars trained at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of a competitive game. The team will have four days training to fine tune preparation for the tricky game against Sudan.
The Black Stars dissapointingly have only a point from two matches in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers after losing to Angola and drawing with Niger. Ghana face Sudan on Friday, 11th October, 2024.
