Meet the 10-Member Team of John Mahama’s Transition Team

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has unveiled a formidable 10-member transition team to oversee the seamless transfer of power.

The team comprises seasoned politicians, academics, and professionals with extensive experience in governance, public administration, and policy implementation.

Julius Debrah – Co – Chairperson

Julius Debrah, the former Chief of Staff under Mahama’s previous administration, brings unparalleled expertise to the team.

Appointed Chief of Staff in February 2015, he previously served as Minister of Local Government and Rural Development and as Regional Minister for the Eastern Region.

His leadership will steer the transition process.

Johnson Asiedu Nketiah – Member

Asiedu Nketiah, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is renowned for being the longest-serving General Secretary of the party.

His professional journey includes roles as a manager for rural banks and as a stockbroker with the National Trust Holding Company (NTHC).
His deep political acumen will be vital for the transition.

Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey – Member

Fiifi Kwetey, a two-term Member of Parliament for Ketu South, brings a wealth of experience in finance and investment.

His career spans roles as a financial analyst, stockbroker, and funds manager at top investment firms.

Dr. Callistus Mahama – Secretary

An accomplished public administrator, Dr. Callistus Mahama has previously served as the Head of the Local Government Service.

Dr. Valerie Sawyer – Member

Edward Doe Adjaho, a former Speaker of Parliament, is a respected statesman and a member of the Transitional Advisory Council.
