Dr. Jonathan Asante Otchere, a lecturer at Cape Coast University, has criticized Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for not accepting responsibility for the government’s failures.
According to Dr. Otchere, Dr. Bawumia, as part of the current administration, cannot distance himself from Ghana’s severe economic problems.
In an interview with Nana Dogbe on Ahotor FM’s morning show ‘Adekyee Mu Nsem’ on Tuesday, Dr. Otchere emphasized that all members of President Akufo-Addo’s administration should be held accountable for the country’s economic state.
He believes the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has mismanaged the country and should be voted out.
Dr. Otchere specifically blamed Dr. Bawumia, who heads the Economic Management Team, for the failure of many government policies.
He argued that true leadership involves taking responsibility for mistakes and finding solutions, a quality he believes Dr. Bawumia has not demonstrated.
