The Black Satellites continued in their disappointment in their participation in the ongoing 2022 Maurice Revello Tournament in France after losing on penalty shootouts against Venezuela following a 1-1 draw in their third match in the group B encounter.
Ghana lost the first two matches to Mexico and Indonesia before facing Venezuela for the third match on Sunday afternoon. A goal each in both halves kept the scoreline at 1-1 after the final whistle.
Venezuela however, grabbed a point in the game by the tournament rules after winning 4-2 in the penalty shootouts.
King Faisal forward Ibrahim Zubairu scored the opener for Ghana in the 54th minute, but coach Karim Zito’s men failed to stay alert and Venezuela found the equalizer in the 74th minute through Daniel Perez.
