2020 election result; Nana Addo’s win fishy – Nana Yaa Jantuah alleges.

Nana Yaa Akyinpem Jantuah, former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), has raised doubts about the legitimacy of the 2020 general election results, which gave the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo a second term.

She suggested that the close split of parliamentary seats between the NPP and the NDC should have led to a runoff in the presidential election.

Jantuah further expressed frustration over the current hardships faced by Ghanaians, including hunger, poverty, and lack of shelter.

She stated that no one will sit by and allow the NPP to continue ruling because the country’s challenges have become overwhelming.

She emphasized that the current “oppressors” are no longer external forces, as in Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s era, but rather internal issues such as hunger and poverty.

Additionally, Jantuah highlighted the split in Ghana’s parliament, arguing that the country does not currently have a clear majority or minority, but rather a “hung” parliament with equal numbers on both sides, and one independent member.

She called for stronger accountability and leadership to address the pressing needs of Ghanaians.
