In the Major Mahama case, a unanimous guilty verdict has been delivered for 12 out of the 14 individuals on trial, charged with the death of Major Mahama.
These 12 individuals, including the Assembly Member accused of inciting the community against Major Mahama, have been convicted on counts of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and abetment of murder.
Contrastingly, two of the accused persons have been acquitted and discharged as the jury found them not guilty of the charges leveled against them.
The jury, having completed its duty, has been discharged, paving the way for the next phase of the legal process.
The convicted individuals now await sentencing by Justice Mariama Owusu, marking a significant development in the pursuit of justice for the tragic death of Major Mahama.
