Kumawood actor and musician Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lilwin, recently opened up about the challenges he faced during his early career. In an interview with media personality Kwame Tanko on Lawson FM, Lilwin shared the less glamorous side of his rise to fame.
Reflecting on his journey, he revealed that he entered the movie industry during some of the toughest times in his life. As a newcomer, he faced numerous difficulties, particularly from his fellow actors and actresses.
Lilwin recounted instances of humiliation, including harsh comments about his appearance and acting skills. One notable incident involved actress Emelia Brobbey, who, during a scene, slapped him in the face with her slipper.
While he initially brushed it off as part of acting, Lilwin later learned that Emelia had intentionally made that choice for the scene, highlighting the challenges he endured as a struggling artist.
