Wilfred Osei Palmer implores Ghanaians to exercise patience with Black Starlets

Executive committee member of the Black Stars Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer has urged Ghanaians to exercise patience with the Black Starlets ahead of their Wednesday’s round of 16 clash with Niger in the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Ghana accumulated six points from Group A to advance to the round of 16 stage, and will be meeting fellow West African country the young Menas of Niger at the DR. DY Patel Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

The clash will be a repeat of the semifinal match between the two sides at the African Cup of Nations in Gabon earlier this year, where Ghana triumphed in the penalty shoot-outs before eventually losing 1-0 to Mali in the grand final.

In an interview with Accra-based radio station, Osei Palmer entreated Ghanaians to have patience for the young stars as they bid to home the trophy.

“Ghanaians should have patience and the Starlets will let them enjoy the game today. We are always slow starters in tournaments and this is evident in the ongoing tournament, but trust me the boys will deliver to the delight of everyone today,” Palmer intimated.
