We are Ghanaians, why have you neglected us-Atonsu residents cry out to government

Some disgruntled residents at Atonsu-Kuwait a suburb of Kumasi in the ashanti region are pleading bitterly to the Government of President Akufo Addo to immediately rehabilitate their poor road network in the area.

They lamented that due to the devastated nature of the roads it becomes very difficult for
drivers to ply the road adding that they make several transits before they reach home after work.

They further stressed and added that when it rains, the road becomes so muddy and slippery and also brings about retardation of their day to day bricks business activities.

The embattled indigenes also noted that sometimes they have to Carry sand and stones to fill the potholes on the roads before they can commute.

“We reside in town we cast our votes during elections and if we are being treated like this they haven’t been fair to us,” they said profusely.

The aggrieved residents hinted if the roads are not given priority and attention for rehabilitation, no candidate should come and plead with them for votes in 2020. Since they do not fulfil their promises after they assumed power.

The embittered residents ended by saying that if politicians come and plead to them for votes, on the day of election they have to walk for miles and some also have to commute with vehicles to their various electoral centres, then they are by this appealing to Government to rehabilitate the roads with immediate effect.
