WAFA coach Klaus Rasmussen delighted with Asante Kotoko stalemate

WAFA coach Klaus Rasmussen says he is content with the 1-1 draw against in their opening fixture of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League at the Sogakofe Red bulls Arena.

Aminu Mohammed opened the scoring as early as the 3rd minute with a beautiful free kick at the edge of the box to put the Academy lads in front.

However, Kotoko restored parity in the 18th minute through striker Yakubu Mohammed, in the end both teams had to settle for a point.

“I’m satisfied we got a point but I’m little bit disappointed we didn’t take all the points,” rasmussen stated.

“But they gave a strong performance and I believe they are one of the favourites to win the league, so I will say I’m happy about the whole outcome but then again I will say we should have had all the three points.”

WAFA will play as guests to Liberty Professionals in week two of the league at the Carl Reindorf Stadium on Sunday, March 25.
