Uruguay Shocked Egypt at 89th Minute

In what appeared to be a crucial encounter between African giants Egypt,  and  Uruguay in the second match of the ongoing FIFA World Cup tournament in Russian, the  Egyptian side  were shocked with a surprise late goal through  a powerful header from Gimenez at the 89th minutes which broke the heart of many Egyptians including their star player Mo Sala who was left at the bench due to injury.

Egypt before the start of the tournament had their best player, Mo Sala sidelined for weeks following an unfortunate tackling on him by Sergio Ramos in the UEFA champions league final match played at Kiev between Madrid and Liverpool.

Sala was out of today’s game because of his questionable health status but that notwithstanding the Egyptian side put up a strong attack and were able to match their opponents until the 89th minutes when one of the Egyptian players committed unpardonable tackling on Uruguayan player which resulted in a free kick infringement. The kick was properly connected into the goal poles with a supperb header from Gimenez in the 89th minutes.

The referee added 5 minutes additional time but that wasn’t enough for the Egyptians to secure a consolation goal. After first game in group one, the host country Russia surprisingly  leads the  table with 3 points  5 goals followed by Uruguay with 3 points and a goal to their credit followed by Egypt and  Saudi Arabia rotting at the bottom with no point with 5 goals in their net as a debt scheduled to be paid their subsequent matches.
