Youth, sports and agriculture are potential agents of transformational change within the Yilo Krobo municipality of the Eastern region, Mr. Michael Ologo has reiterated today.
Delivering his Easter message during a football gala at the Sra Presby park, the Parliamentary hopeful donated 4 leather footballs, set of training kits and cash prizes to the Sra Royals and Young Paradise of Sra as refreshment and encouraged them to vigorously focus on sports as an avenue to converge and make decisions that will aim at giving Ghana’s sports a new face lift.
Speaking to Prince Paul Amuzu and Krobea Asante of rite FM, Mr. Ologo emphasized that sports is the appropriate platform that the youth of the country can use to meet and discuss issues that affect them directly. “It can be sports, agric, education, technology and whatever, you can think of to get them organized, sports does it perfectly” he said.
He also used the occasion to encourage the youth to venture into the agric value chain.
“With sports men in agriculture, our Municipality can well be projected and opened to the International Communities if we don’t get discouraged with this nice beginning ” he added.
Scores of players and spectators who witnessed the tournament amongst their counterparts who looked cheerful for a new agenda of change in sports within the municipality therefore requested, the parliamentary hopeful add his voice to call for construction of a sports complex or stadium to add more flesh to bones.
