Terrible Nigeria Music video crushes social media. #followtheladderchallenge

The Nigerian Gospel musician, Agnes Iro, has once again challenged the people of Ghana with another song dubbed ‘ follow the ladder to heaven’  which is trending on social media with #followtheladderchallange.

The song, a traditional Igbo Gospel rendition does not only have the African rhythm and style but also has a music video which is fascinating and poorly done.

In the video Agnes Iro is seen climbing a mini metal ladder (signifying Jesus Christ) as the intermediate to God on a park. Also two dancers are seen on a different ladder in a scene ascending skywards.
The video has been massively criticized for it’s terrible quality and the imagery of the ladder and whatever it represents.

In an effort to poke fun at the video Ghanaians have taken to social media choreographing their own version of the video with the hash tag follow the Ladder Challenge (#followtheladderchallange)

What is becoming clear is that Ghanaians now appreciate quality videos from artist and will stop at nothing to shame bad ones.
There have been criticisms from most music producers, video directors and managers on the quality of music videos done by our Gospel musicians.

They normally term them as “Hotel  videos” or “Flower Videos”,simply because producers do not invest resources in these videos but produce anything “hollow” because they have to come up with one.

It can also be stated that some of our Gospel musician’s invest money and hard work into their videos to match up with any video produced “internationally”.
For now we can all enjoy the Gospel Song by Agnes Iro and follow the ladder to heaven or maybe use another means to get there.
