President Akufo Addo is Confused”*- Ologo

“The President is endemically confused, how can you sack a non performing sector minister in the person of Boagye Agyarko from the Energy ministry and bring in John Peter Amewu, under whose watch dozens of able men and women are languishing in abject poverty due to how he handled the galamsey issues, the NPP indeed has not got the men to execute Ghana’s developmental drive but when we constructively criticized them they referred to us as Naysayers”

These were the initial remarks by Hon. Michael Ologo, a Parliamentary hopeful in the NDC at Yilo Krobo constituency of the eastern region. His outrage comes a day after President Akufo Addo relieved the Energy minister Boakye Agyarko from office following the unsatisfactory and disdained decision he took during the renegotiated AMERI pact some few weeks ago which have since been greeted with incessant backlashes both within the government, the New Patriotic Party, stakeholders in the energy sector as well as the main opposition National Democratic Congress ( NDC).

Speaking to the media on the sidesteps of the brouhaha surrounding the controversial Africa And Middle East Resources Investment [AMERI] Contractual deal by the Government of Ghana. The parliamentary hopeful jabbed President AkufoAddo over his refusal earlier on to crack the whip of the energy minister and his henchmen who supervised such a sham and disgraceful act by the extension of the deal with over bloated and inflated figures which have since received a barrage of criticisms by well meaning Ghanaians.

He aver again that, the President’s inability to immediately relinquished the minister from his post since the inception of the AMERI rage, suggested that he was confused and had to engaged in a knee- jerk approach before finally sacking Mr. Boakye Agyarko.

To his surprised and shock, President Nana Addo after ejecting the energy minister from office on Monday has once again committed another unpardonable blander by appointing a calibre of minister in the person of Hon. John Peter Amewu, the lands and forestry minister, who collapsed the mining sector to serve in an acting role at the energy ministry.

He laughed off by alluding that, Didn’t the NPP in 2016 said they have the men? And where have the men gone such that there is no body to occupy that seat in acting capacity than John Peter Amewu?

Hon. Ologo fumed and questioned profusely!

The iconic Parliamentary aspirant revealed further that at this juncture, Ghanaians can only hope and buckles up for the return of the NDC into government in 2020 to correct the errors and deficiencies left behind within the governance structures of the country.

He also charged the Clergy and civil society organizations to speak on recent happenings in the country and bemoaned their silence is worrying and uninspiring for generations yet unborn. But he was quick to add that Posterity will be the best judge.

Hon. Michael Ologo as he is affectionately called is expected to win the impending parliamentary primaries in the Yilo Krobo constituency of the NDC, and also annexed the seat on the ticket of the party to represent the good people of Somanya and its surrounding communities at the constituency in Parliament during the 2020 Polls since he is regarded as a huge favourite and a stalwart in the area a midst his philanthropic gestures.
