Samuel Ofosu Ampofo , Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah ; both as National Chairman and General Secretary, as well as other National elective office holders the opportunity to lead the NDC for the general elections in 2020.

He gave a breakdown and permutation analysis about the regional representation of persons who currently hold executives positions in the NDC, and revealed that indigenes in the Volta region has so far gotten a balanced share in the party. He also stated that the NDC is a socially inclined party which draw inspirations from its internal Democratic tenets and gains, and would not in anyway engage in acts which could have a negative preposition on the fortunes of the party.

“Mr. Asphalt ” as he is affectionately called, is a coinage he pride himself to during his days as the MCE of Tema where he championed a radical construction of major asphalted trunk roads within the periphery of Tema and its environs , and the resurfacing of several kilometers of asphalt overlays in the metropolis. He reiterated calls on such persons pushing for such agenda and ethnocentrism to desist from it since it has the knack to stoke confusion in the party. Hon. Ofosuware noted the NDC has gone through an incident free exercise and it behooves on party members to despised act of rancor and unnecessary acrimony.

Kempis Ofosuware used the platform to explain the modalities of the elections and opined the Volta region have about seven persons coming from that part of the country and as such concerns about blatant neglect cannot be wholly true, or made to stand the test of time.

He schooled as “The point is , is a position as electing position where everybody contested , and NEC also does not debar any tribe from contesting, no tribe was debar from contesting! NDC has 101 people , listen to me very carefully ( talking to the host ; Onantefour) and after this presentation people will stop taking about the things which have gone viral, and I want listeners to listen again with rapt attention since we are working according to time”- He posited!

“Now these are the breakdown, listen carefully ; I will group them into regions because of time”- He told Onantefour Addae Munumkum

1.Ewes- (7 )

2.Akans- (9)

3.North- ( 7)

4.Ga – Adangbe – (2)

It has emerged after the congress that about Twenty – five persons were elected at congress to steer the affairs of the party in terms for the next four years ; these national elected scribes hold varying national executive portfolios.
He avow that there should not be cause to complain because the elections was conducted on a fair ground.

In all thirty – five ( 35) persons put themselves up for elections in the northern region , Nine (9) people filed in the Ga – Adangbe domineering areas, twenty (20) individuals similarly contested in the Ewe extraction , and twenty ( 23 ) aspirants filled to contest within the enclave of the Akans respectively.

In elucidating further, he said in all Ninety – three (93) people contested for various national executive positions in the party, and each region was inclusive in the tabulated chart, and called for cool heads to prevail.

Hon. Kempis Papa Nii Ofosuware said the contest is an elective and open door exercise and it will be very difficult for anybody to manipulate the system to favor a candidate or an entire region.

Contextualising the rationale behind why some notable stalwarts in the NDC have resort to criticizing the process, he observed that such individuals are likely to be suffering from Post Elections trauma which he believes they will soon get over.
