NDC’s Hon. Kofi Amoatey leaves Parliament in 2020.

Member of Parliament for Yilo Krobo constituency Hon. Magnus kofi Amoatey, will not contest for re election in 2020 after serving his constituency for 8 years. He was an outstanding chairman of the constitutional review committe in Parliament during the NDC administration.

He made this declaration over the weekend to his party executives during the swearing in of the newly elected constituency executives in Somanya.

The ceremony was graced by the M.P Hon. Amoatey, the Eastern Regional Chairman of the NDC Mr. Tawiah Boateng and the Eastern regional youth Organizer HARUNA Apaw Wiredu, also in attendance was the NDC 2020 Parliamantary hopeful Michael Ologo.

Mr Tawiah Boateng admonished the newly constituency executives to respect the party structures, and seek the general interest of the Party to enable it win the 2020 elections.

The Yilo Krobo Constituency has been a safe haven for the main opposition National Democratic Congress in every electioneering year. And among huge favorites who will be seeking to stand on the ticket of the party when it opens nomination for the parliamentary primaries is Michael Ologo.

According to the delegates who interacted with ahotoronline. com during and after the Party’s outstanding constituency elections held on Saturday, Michael Ologo is undoubtedly the obvious choice by the people in the constituency for the NDC in the 2020 Polls. ” Ologo is next in line after Amoatey, no one can jump the line”. one delegate stressed
