NDC’s Director of elections visits voting centres in Greater Accra.

Hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, director of elections who doubles as first vice national chairman of the National Democratic Congress,  a night before the commencement of the party’s nationwide constituency elections had these words of advice for all contestants and party supporters on his Facebook page  and it reads.

“Tomorrow 23rd June is the day for NDC’s nationwide constituency elections and as a party with a profound reputation in democratic practices, l believe this elections will consolidate and add value to our social democratic principles and also promote unity among us in our quest to secure victory in 2020”, I therefore wish all the contestants well. The election should be conducted in a free and fair manner so as to ensure the unity and cohesion of the party towards “victory 2020”,

Hon. Samuel Ofosu- Ampofo proceeded to various constituencies in greater as part of measures to ensure sanity and tranquility prevails in the nationwide constituency elections, held on Saturday 23/06/2018.

Some of the Constituencies he toured include Tema East, Tema West, Tema Central Ashiama, Shai Osu Doku etc..

In TemaWest, addressing  the people gathered at the polling stations who were catching a glimpse of the process, Hon. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo extended hearty felicitations to the roaring crowd and ecstatic greetings from  party leadership to them.
He wished all aspirants well and reiterated that at the end of the day, there would be no looser or winner but rather democracy and NDC would win and therefore called for free, fair and transparent elections.
He indicated that “ our common enemy is hunger, poverty and corruption that has bedeviled this country, our journey to the Flagstaff house or Jubilee house or whatever they call it begins today”. He noted!

He then proceeded to Tema central constituency where he familiarized with delegates and assured them to comport themselves and assured them of free transparent and credible elections. According  to him, the Akufo Addo- Bawumia led administration have disappointed Ghanaians and therefore called on the delegates to vote for competent, dedicated and reliable people who can work effectively to bring the NDC back to power. He is captured as saying that “In opposition, we must work hard and save Ghana from the mess Akufo Addo is driving Ghana through”.

At Ashiaman, the responsiveness of both supporters and delegates at the voting centres were very encouraging, the process was running smoothly devoid of recorded cases of violence.

Hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo interacted with the people and assured them of his satisfaction of how the electorates of Ashaiman have conducted themselves and admonished them to maintain  the prevailing peace in the  area.
He reassured them of the party’s preparedness to recapture power and implored them of the need to vote for serious and dedicated aspirants.
The director of elections tour team stopped at Tema East constituency where the atmosphere there was charged and electrifying devoid of any irregularities and rancor.

Hon. Ampofo again scan through the shai Osudoku constituency to elicit firsthand information about the elections and resultant situational reports.
The director of elections is expected to visit some outstanding constituencies where the elections could not come on due to some unresolved situations, amongst the aspirants as well as the top echelons of the NDC.
