Maxwell Konadu: We’ll fight for Russia 2018 ticket till the end

Deputy Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu has admitted that qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup ahead of Egypt will not come cheap but they will give it a shot.

The Black Stars are five points adrift of the Pharaohs of Egypt in Group E after two matches, which has put their hopes of making a fourth successive global football mundial in jeopardy.

Many supporters of the team have given up hope of overhauling the Pharaohs’ lead at the summit of the log, but Konadu says they will fight up until they achieve their target despite their chances looking gloomy.

“Qualifying for the 2018 World Cup is difficult but it is not impossible,”

“Looking at where we find ourselves today we’re at a very tight corner but nothing is impossible. We think with the materials we have at our disposal we can still qualify if we put things in other and work hard.”

“Honestly it’s difficult for us to qualify but nothing is impossible,” Konadu deduced.

Ghana host Congo on September 1 in their third game of the qualifiers at the Baba Yara stadium before travelling to Congo four days later for the reverse fixture.
