Ghanaian musician and president of the Ghana music council, Ekow Micah has stated that legalizing Marijuana in the country will be a fantastic idea.
In a studio interview on Ahotor FM’s entertainment show on Saturday 16th September, 2017, the Ghanaian musician stated that it would have been unacceptable to open up a debate on the topic of legalizing marijuana years ago, but it is now an open debate for all and I am happy about the development.
“I smoke and I am not ashamed to make it known, If I cannot hide from the Most High why should I feel ashamed making it known to you my brother”
“Who are you, or is it because you have ethical power”?
You can go all out to judge, but that will be your own problem. There are a lot of evil things that people do secretly that do not come in public”
“Marijuana is food and herb. Christ smoked which I can prove with scriptures, Reading the Bible, from Psalm 18:8, it is so clear that smoking has been in existence for a long time”
“The Bible has been a relying point to all humanity and it will not lie”, He emphasized.
It can be recalled that the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Ghana Standards Authority, Prof. Alex Biadoo, joined a small group of government officials who are calling for the legalization of marijuana.
According to him the economic potential of marijuana for the country is huge, staying that it was about time authorities came up with a firm decision on taking advantage of the herb.
