Keep quiet; you have no stand in governance – Ofosu-Ampofo to Samira

The Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has sounded a serious caution to the second lady of the country, Samira Bawumia stating that she should be careful in making comments on the governance of the country since she has no stand in the governing structure per the constitution.

Samira Bawumia in her recent comment stated emphatically that almost all the promises made in the NPP’s Manifesto have been achieved and that calling all on all critics to acknowledge the work done by the ruling NPP.

In response to her comment Ofosu-Ampodo speaking on Ahotor FM’s Morning Show on Thursday 19th April, 2018 stated that the wives of the president and vice president are not constitutionally recognized and they should be very circumspective especially on comments made with regards to governance and development in our country.

”The First and second ladies of the country do not have any  role in governance, they don’t have any role to play in our governance architecture so Samira should shut up”.

“She went round and insulted Former president Mahama during the 2016 electioneering period.   She and her husband has nothing better to give to Ghana and are not seen in the NPP government. I believe she just wants to be heard because most of the promises made by the ruling government have not been achieved and everything shows that they are performing abysmally”. He stated
