Interdict Asante Akyem North DCE- Ofosu-Ampofo

The Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, (NDC), Hon Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has stated that an investigation and possibly and interdiction process should be taken immediately against the Asante Akyem North’s District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr.Francis Oti Boateng  for allegedly slapping his police commander, DSP Samuel Agbe.

According to him, the District Chief executive is the representative of the president in the district and should live an exemplary life.

The Local government expect further stated on Ahotor FM’s Morning show that the actions as the DCE reflects the dreams and ideological ideas of the president and he should be an example in conduct.

“Looking at the security architecture as a country the president is the head of the national security, the regional ministers also head’s and chair’s the regional Security Council and the district chief executive also head’s the Security Council at the district and municipal levels of governance”

“The DCE constantly liaise with the service commanders to achieve a peaceful district. under no circumstance should there be a disagreement between a DCE and a Police Commander because they work hand in hand ”

“If indeed the DCE slapped his commander as stated in the reports then I can state categorically that it is a big case because he represents the president”

“Immediate action should be taken against the DEC to restore dignity to the office of the president and the office of the District Chief Executive”, He concluded.
