The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has explained that Mr Ibrahim Mahama does not owe it as speculated in some media reports.

Some media reports last week suggested that Mr Mahama, a younger brother of former President John Mahama, owed the GACL over Gh¢8 million in aviation fuel costs and taxes.

He has recently been in the news in relation to debts to the Ghana Revenue Authority and the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).

In a response letter, a copy of which was available to Graphic Online, the GACL said Mr Mahama does not owe it as of Friday May 5, 2017.
