I bare no grudge with Mahama but he is unmatched, will beat him at NDC Primaries – Sylvester Mensah

A leading member and a Presidential hopeful of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) who doubles as the former Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Mr.  Sylvester Mensah has categorically opined on Ahotor FM that he is in a pole position to secure the flagbearership slot of the main opposition NDC better than his closest rivalry John Drammani Mahama, the former President of the Republic of Ghana, as well as any other contestant vying for the presidential race of the NDC respectively.

The former Chief Executive Officer of the NHIS has held several positions and portfolios in the NDC since the inception of the party into multiparty democratic dispensation from 1992 till date.

Hon. Sylvester is an astute technocrat with enviable acumen in business administration, politics and strategic management, within the confines of  a specified field of endeavor.

On Ahotor morning show on Tuesday (22/5/2018″) dubbed Oman Yi Mu Nsem, the renowned Politician, Strategist and one time law maker revealed that, amongst the presidential hopefuls seeking to lead the NDC in the 2020 polls he emblematically epitomized as a force to reckoned with, because the NDC needs a well defined personality of his caliber to salvage the party from the political turbulence which befall it after the barbaric and humiliating defeat of the party in 2016.

He posited further and alluded that, the NDC requires a fresh candidate with new ideas to turn the fortunes of the party into productive prospects, one that smacks of election winning Think Tank.

The former lawmaker of la- Dadekotopon, reiterated his unflinching and tacit supports to surge the party forward in unity and comradeship. Hon. Mensah avowed that, he stands tall among his peers and contemporaries who are vying for the same position in the NDC.

Sly, as he is affectionately called corroborated, earlier positions held by top echelons in the party to the effects that, unity is of paramount in the NDC, and must not be compromised or substituted for any acrimonious tendency or vile personality attacks.

Sylvester Adinam Mensah stressed that, it is imperative for the NDC to consider the youth front in key decision making and leadership roles in the party.

When the host Onantefour Addae Munumkum tried to elicit his views about the intentions as hinted by former President John Mahama’s quest to join the fray to run for the NDC presidential race. He contended that, the comeback of John Mahama do not pose any threats to his bid or candidature  to lead the party,  and further  stated that, the flagbearership race is all inclusive and accommodating in character which is open for all prospective personalities in the NDC who deem it prudent to file to contest when nominations open

He retorts again that, the brand John Mahama is a household name but sharply reiterated to the fact that, the NDC need a new beginning, new face and a persona with exuberant thinking faculty to lead the party in any future national contest, to serve as a catalyst for the tenets of the party.

Mr. Sylvester Mensah avers he is unfazed and unperturbed about who ever emerges to contest him at the primaries in the NDC. And bet to clinch the topmost crown.

He contrived subtly that, the Akufo-Addo led administration has disappointed Ghanaians in the area of providing accessible healthcare and sound fiscal economic policies, sixteen months into his reign at the presidency.

The soft spoken but apt and intelligent former Youth organizer, former Greater Accra regional Secretary, lawmaker, and a strategist maintained that, Ghana will be better of under his tutelage as president of the republic.

He admonished sympathizers, loyalists, and supporters of the NDC to cast their votes massively for him during the impending primaries of the party to elect presidential hopeful to lead the NDC to a resounding victory in the 2020 general elections.

In a subtle medium to court floating voters for the NDC ahead of election 2020, he charged the voting populace to distool the Akufo-Addo led administration in the next election reasons for woefully hoodwinking Ghanaians through parroting propaganda and blatant abuse of incumbency.
