“I am contesting for general secretary position again”-General Mosquito

At a press conference organised by the National Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress  to give green light to campaign activities of presidential hopefuls ahead of 2020 general elections, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah, general secretary of the Ndc, took the occasion to confirm his intention to seek re-election in the upcoming national delegates elections scheduled later this year. ”

At the said press conference the long serving scribe of the Ndc confirmed the long held suspicion that has been trending on various social media platforms for the last 3-4 months about his possible return.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia popularly known in political circles as General Mosquito has led the National Democratic Congress party to notable electoral victories as a general secretary, and his records and contributions to the electoral prospects of the  Ndc and  Ghana’s democratic feast is indispensable.

 

Addressing the media on the party’s directive to open way for presidential hopefuls to initiate their campaign activities , the incumbent General Secretary of the party, Mr Asiedu Nketiah directed that all presidential hopefuls must first inform the party of their intention to contest the slot before campaigning.

He also warned the would-be aspirants to be wary of some of the comments they passed during the campaign that might denigrate the party.

He further cautioned against flagrant campaigning by aspirants because of the hardship currently being experienced by Ghanaians.

Among those who have indicated their interest to lead the party are Dr Ekwow Spio Garbrah, Prof Joshua Alabi, Sylvester Mensah and former President John Dramani Mahama.
