GSPD calls for the appointment of persons with disability in the new government

The Ghana Society of Physical Disabled [GSPD] has explained that they have watched keenly and listened with rapt attention the appointments made so far by the president HE Nana Addo’s led government.

However they have noted that so far no person with disability has been appointed by His Excellency the President. And this is so worrying considering the fact that there are many competent and capable people with disabilities who can bring their competencies to bear if given the chance.

speaking to Ahotor News Anchor Onatefour Addae Munumkum was the communication director of the Society Clifford Owusu Ansah, who said they can’t deny the fact that offering a ministerial appointment to a person with one form of disability or another will aid in addressing their concerns or at least give them some hope that they are also recognized, as capable of contributing in the building of our nation.

And they don’t want to jump the gun because appointments are not over but they still want to call on those in charge and most importantly the President, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to remember them too and do them the honour of appointing a member of the Disabled community as they have a lot to offer this nation too.
