The Ghana Beach Soccer Association (GBSA) has secured a lucrative 2-year online sponsorship package from UK based media outfit Yorkshire Enterprise Ltd.
The sponsorship was brokered by Beach Soccer Ghana; the corporate, brands and commercial wing of Ghana beach soccer. Yorkshire Enterprise Limited (YEL) is a leading agency in Media, Sports Entertainment, production, promotion as well as sports management and development.
According to the online and social media partnership, the GBSA would benefit from a new website created by YEL, social media presence and activities plus periodic communications workshops for beach soccer clubs.
YEL would also provide technical support towards the overall improvement, engagement, promotion and development of Ghana Beach Soccer.
As part of the partnership, YEL will offer coaching education and training opportunities with partners in Europe, specialist coaching for players and other identified requirements in sports for the players and the teams.
The Ghanaian director of Yorkshire Enterprise Limited Mr Atsu Sikanku believes this partnership will be mutually beneficial.
“We believe our partnership with Beach Soccer Ghana will help increase the level of engagement and participation in the sport in Ghana and promoting the teams on a wider platform.”
Yaw Ampofo Ankrah President of the GBSA has described the deal as a timely boost for the sport. “This partnership could not have come at a better time. We always strive to focus on the positives and how to improve beach soccer so we are absolutely delighted to get this deal ahead of the new season”
Meanwhile, the 2017 edition of the Ghana Beach Soccer League is expected to kick off after congress at the end of June.
