The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Obed Akwa has indicated that, failure is not an option in the fight against illegal mining.
Speaking at a ceremony to launch “Operation Vanguard,” – a National Anti-Galamsey Task Force established by the government to enforce the ban on illegal mining – on Monday morning at the Burma Camp in Accra, Lt Gen Akwa urged the team that is being deployed to fight galamsey to be tough and work with a nationalistic spirit.
“Indeed as I said in Bondase, failure is not an option, we shall put an end to all forms of illegal mining activities,” the CDS said.
