Issa Hayatou losses presidential election to Ahmad Ahmad

A secret voting for the next CAF president took place with the various associations choosing between Issa Hayatou of Cameroon and Ahmad Ahmad of Madagascar.

 

Issa Hayatou is no longer president of CAF after 29 years. Ahmad Ahmad has beaten Issa Hayatou to the CAF presidential election.

Ahmad Ahmad claimed 34 votes to win the CAF presidential election with Issa Hayatou losing with 20 votes.

 The victory for Ahmad Ahmad ends Issa Hayatou’s 29 years reign as president of Africa’s football federation.
