BOST CEO has no knowledge on his job -Dr. Kwabena Donkor

The former energy minister of the past NDC government, Hon. Dr. Kwabena Donkor has stated that the current Chief Executive Officer of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), Alfred Obeng, has no knowledge on his job.

He made this statement in a telephone conversation with Emmanuel Quashie (Hitman) on Ahotor FM’s Morning Show, Wednesday 28,June 2017.

According to Hon.Dr. Kwabena Dorkor, the minority has the responsibility to protect the citizenry from any possible harm, thus the press conference on the discovery of contaminated fuel in the market and the lost of GHc7 million in revenue through the deal.

It is noted that Ghana allegedly lost about GHc 7 million in revenue following attempts by the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) to sell contaminated fuel to some oil marketing companies.

Some documents sighted by Accra-based Citi FM showed that BOST agreed to sell about GHc 5 million litres of the contaminated fuel to Movenpinna Energy.

The documents indicated that as at Wednesday, June 21st, 2017, BOST had agreed to sell off an estimated 186,000 litres of contaminated fuel to the oil company.

However, BOST has responded that the selling of contaminated or off-spec product to the oil company, Movenpina was the most appropriate option available.

Dr. Kwabena Donkor, through his reaction stated that the deal would not have happened without the knowledge of the current MD of BOST, who has no knowledge on his job.

He revealed stating that he was the first Managing director of BOST and has a deep knowledge on the mandate of the company.

He concluded stating that a lot of people want him to step aside for investigation to be conducted, and make sure that he faces the law, if he is found to have engaged in wrong doing.
